Pinacoteca Civica

Como art museum

The Pinacoteca Civica, the Como art museum, is located inside Palazzo Volpi, a building that dates back to the 17th century. It hosts a vast art collection, which mostly ranges from medieval times to the Renaissance era.

Visitors will have the chance to see many paintings from the 16th-18th centuries. The museum also gathers a lot of contemporary pieces, like the ones belonging to the Futurist architect Antonio Sant’Elia, in addition to abstract canvases and sculptures by Manlio Rho, Mario Radice, Aldo Galli, Carla Badiali, and Ico Parisi.
